The spring semester is winding down and many of us will soon be allowed to enjoy the peace and fun of summer. I was happy to see so many of you at our reception in New Orleans. Thanks again to Nebraska Book Company and Jostens for sponsoring our event at the Royal Sonesta Hotel on Bourbon Street.
Plans are going forward for our fall meeting. It will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield, October 23-25. You can preview your accommodations at www.crowneplazaspringfield.com. Committees have been formed and chairs include: Randy Storm, Bookstore Manager at Lincoln Christian College and Seminary (Education), Loreen Maxfield, Director of UIC Campus Stores in Chicago (Membership) and Kathy O’Brien, Operations Coordinator at Moraine Valley College Bookstore (Hospitality). Our theme is "IACS – Still A Capitol Idea." If you are interested in helping them to plan our 35th anniversary meeting please don’t hesitate to give them a call.
One exciting piece of news is that NACS President Debbie Harvie will be attending our fall meeting. The planning committee hopes to have a number of special events to make this meeting memorable. Please make plans now to attend.
